Janice Robinson Burns, the Chief Learning Officer at MasterCard, is responsible for the design and implementation of employee learning and development programs globally and development of frameworks to advance managerial capabilities and effectiveness. In this role, Janice is also accountable for providing thought leadership for change management and business unit transformation projects while ensuring an effective linkage to MasterCard’s talent development platform.

From January 2008 through August 2012, Janice served as Group Head of Human Resources for the Global Products and Solutions organization, where she was responsible for setting and executing the human capital strategy and delivering human resources support globally to over 3000 staff. Before this, she also served as the Chief Diversity Officer; Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Global Product; Senior Vice President, Central Resources; Vice President, Diversity and Worklife; Vice President, Regional Standards and Customer Support; Senior Director, Customer Satisfaction; Director, Point-of-Sale Service Quality; and Manager, US Enhancement Services at MasterCard.

Burns is a past recipient of the Harlem YMCA National Salute to Black Achievers in Industry Award.

Prior to joining MasterCard, Janice worked at Chemical Bank as Assistant Vice President.

Burns earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University. In addition, she completed the University of Michigan’s Advanced Human Resources Executive Program.
