Sarah works for GlaxoSmithKline as the Chief Learning Officer - VP Global Learning & Development & Organization Development. Her role is to deliver high quality learning with consistent global standards in the most effective and efficient way to build employee capabilities to drive business performance.
Earlier, she was the VP & Head, Organization Development. In this capacity, she was responsible for determining overall people and organizational development strategy for GSK. This included developing a deep understanding in delivery of leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, and organization development interventions in order to meet complex business challenges.
For the past 20 years, Sarah has held several senior Leadership & Organization Development positions in GlaxoSmithKline across many of its business divisions - Research & Development, GSK Vaccines, Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Healthcare International as well as Consumer Healthcare Europe. Sarah is an authority on change, and is highly effective in ambiguous environments, with a track record of increasing the effectiveness of businesses. She collaborates with leaders, using strong influencing skills, to devise people strategies which enable business strategy.
Sarah graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in Modern Languages and Business Studies and her early career roles were across marketing, sales, and finance.
