Jenny Dearborn is the Senior Vice President and Chief Learning Officer at the German software company SAP. She is based in Silicon Valley. Dearborn is responsible for bringing together and driving all corporate learning and enablement activity for SAP employees worldwide. This is her fourth Chief Learning Officer role. She is recognized as a thought leader in learning, human capital management and business culture. Her book, Data Driven: How Performance Analytics Delivers Extraordinary Sales Results, was published in March 2015.

Before SAP, Jenny was Chief Learning Officer at SuccessFactors for two years where she won numerous industry awards for the measurable business impact of her sales enablement initiatives. Jenny was at Sun Microsystems for 6 years where she was the global Chief Learning Architect across all corporate content and was the Chief Learning Officer for the Americas – a position that led employee learning, partner enablement and the customer education business for the region and carried a 100M P&L.

Jenny was at Hewlett-Packard for 8 years where she started as an instructor and instructional designer and progressed to executive positions as the Learning & Development leader for Global Sales & Enterprise Marketing, Global Technology Services and Global Corporate Learning Strategy.

She is a thought leader in human capital management and general business and writes a regular contributor to periodicals like Forbes and Fast Company. Jenny is recognized as one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology by the National Diversity Council. She was the recipient of the Silicon Valley Women of Influence Award for 2014 and the Silicon Valley Tribute to Women in Industry Award for 2013. Although she has deep roots in Silicon Valley, with degrees from UC Berkeley, San Jose State and Stanford University, she has a strong focus in international business and has traveled extensively in her career.

Jenny is on the Board of Directors at the Association for Talent Development, Theatre Works and The Commonwealth Club. Through the Fortune Most Powerful Women Network, she is a mentor for the US State Department to female entrepreneurs in developing countries. Jenny is a professional artist and competitive athlete.
